Working closely with UNESCO as a Champion for Sport and as an Academy Member for the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, Sergey further dedicates much of his time to promoting the value of sport to young people around the world.
As an athlete, Sergey set a benchmark for excellence in pole vault competition by becoming a multiple World and Olympic Champion as well as setting 35 world records during his career.

The Tata Mumbai Marathon 2018, an IAAF Silver Label Road Race, has a total prize fund of US$405,000 this year.
Approximately 44,000 runners took to the roads in Mumbai for six different races over varying distance in what has become an annual event in the city on the third Sunday of January and one of Asia’s biggest mass-participation running events.

During his visit to Donetsk and Luhansk regions in Ukraine Sergey Bubka handed over a set of modern gymnastics equipment of the world-leading Janssen-Fritsen Company that is used at the prestigious international competitions, including the Olympic Games.
